What time of year do you install package bees, summer, spring, fall or does it matter?

Mostly April or May, plus you want to order them in the fall or they may not be available when you call in the spring.

Packages bees are considered a Spring time acquisition. Usually if you haven't order your queens by March 1st you are out of luck ot have to search real hard for a supplier will to fill late orders.
Nuc's can be purchased until about the 1st of May. Later and the odds of be the bees successfully wintering dec lines rapidly.
