G'day - another aussie memeber
« on: January 14, 2016, 06:56:05 am »
Hello Everyone,

Im Costa, I have had a long time fascination with Bees and beekeeping and have finally decided to get involved. Due to my current living arrangements (and my not knowing if i'm allergic to bee stings) i have ordered an Australian native stinginess hive complete with a box and all! I have been reading a ton and have just come across this site which seems to have a great community and some valuable information.

looking forward to meeting some of you and sharing learning about bee husbandry.

C'mon, Jim.  Everybody knows where Wolangong is, right?

Apropos nothing but amusing, my first wife was from Muleshoe, Texas.  When people asked where Muleshoe was located, she'd reply that it was about 20 miles from Earth (another strangely named town in West Texas).

Costa, welcome to the forum, wherever on Earth Wollangon is located.

(While typing, I  can't see your locations.  Hope I got Wollangon right.)

Okay, I missed it by a vowel or so.  Welcome, anyway.

Classic -

well Wollongong is 1 hour south of Sydney (hopefully you know that one). We do get a lot of people (especially tourists) who have no idea how to pronounce Wollongong -  a right of passage when you can get it right!

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
