I was reading a post on a wax moth trap made from a soda bottle.
I use a 2 liter plastic bottle and drill a 1 inch hole in the side.
Here is a picture of one.
I have several out and about around my beeyards.
For bait I mix 1/2 cup sugar to 1/2 cup water and 1 cup red apple cider vinegar. I then pour the mixture into the bottle and take a banana peel and cut it up in pieces and put it in the bottle also.
Or you can put some cheap red wine and a banana peel, the fermentation is what catches.
It will ferment in a couple of days attracting wax moths and yellow jackets.
I set the around the bee yard or hang them from limbs about 2-5 feet.
Hey they're cheap and they work.
Here is a picture of the Wax Moths, the Greater and smaller one.
