Sometimes we take it for granted. We really don't know what it means to us. So I thought I would jot down a few things that it does and doesn't do.
It can make you laugh. It can make you cry. It can be easy or make you try. It is mean. It is nice. It can be warm and cold as ice. It is in your home. It is in the park. It is what scares you in the dark. You can touch it, see it, say it, hear it, and yet never be near it. It is here. It is there. and it can be no where. You can rat it, poke-a-dot it. Twist it, beat it, braid it. It can be powdered, floured and confettied, mangled, tangled, spangled and spaggettied. You can search for it and never find it while at the same time it is in your pocket. It is ever thing and it is nothing at the same moment. We wouldn't be able to live with out it. It keeps us fed and warm. It provides us a place to sleep. It will never change while it is never the same. You can take it and run with it. Squeeze it. Love it. Hate it. Throw it. Kick it. Kiss it. It can get you there fast and it can hinder your progress. It won't go without it. Work on it. Take it out. Put it up. It can climb. It can fly. It can just go away. Sometimes we know all there is to know about it, and sometimes we know nothing about it. It doesn't even exist but it is here to stay.
So the next time you see it appreciate it for what it is. What ever it might be.
