Best way to move TBH?
« on: August 29, 2006, 10:55:52 am »
I am wondering if anybody has come up with a good way to migrate a TBH without breaking the comb. I am trying to run all Top Bars as I like them better and I usually don't move them so most of the time it is not an issue. But I am sure that down the road I will have to relocate a hive for one reason or another, so I need to develop a method to move them with little or no damage to the colony.

Old brood comb holds up fine.  New heavy honey comb will break.  The hotter the more fragile the comb.  Do you get cool nights?  Are the roads rough?
