Here is a picture of our dock this morning, almost a perfect mirror image.

That is absolutely gorgeous!
I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

Yes, Shellcrackers, Bass and at least one eel. We used to have catfish but the Bald Eagles, a river otter and a gator ate all of them.

so with gators there, you don't swim without a guard with a gun?

No need, we have only seen them twice. I knew something was wrong when 20 chickens disappeared in 2 weeks. They only come here during really long droughts when all of the other ponds dry up.

They only come here during really long droughts when all of the other pods dry up.

You sound mighty confident in that Jim! I still don't think I'll go in the pond at the 2021 beefest though.

Very nice Jim. Bream is one of my favorite fish catch and eat. (Though I like them all).

If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him.
But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

They won't bother you if you are old and naked.  That pretty much scares everything away.  LOL
