Possible Election tampering? ... you decide ...

This should disturb all who watch this regardless of your political persuasions! Thought we only had to worry about the Chinese and  Russian interference?

Unconscionable.... Sad that it has came to this. What can be done to legally obtain a fair and balanced counter measure? Is there things in the works now? Is the senate, with senators such as Ted Cruise in position to make a fair determination and suggestions? Are there alternative platforms in the works which will have the same power as google, facebook, etc, yet at the same time be fair and balanced? If so, how many years behind will they be? ETC?  Good Topic Alan.

Wow. That is a wake up call.
And there probably is very little we can do about it.

What, have you been sleeping Jim.  Mass Media has always influenced elections.  That is why candidates pay millions for ads.  Do you think Trump would have won without mass media?  There is no such thing as a free election when money and corporate power is involved.  That is why some democrats want to make it illegal to accept corporate contributions.  I think it is a pipe dream, just like limiting terms or eliminating special perks to public officials.  It's never going to happen.

Brian,
This is not your normal advertising campaign. This is targeted manipulation of the public without them knowing it.

... benefiting a single party, without showing up on any Campaign Finance/Funding documentation - which makes it exempt from Campaign Rules and Oversight.

If you want to see this problem corrected - you will ... as soon as the Republicans learn how to do the same thing, suddenly "the will" of Congress to close this "loophole" will appear magically.

It's a sad sad time we live in. Just do what's right and let the cry babies cry.  When the truth hurts your feelings you've got big problems.

What do you think the ads for drugs are?  You can't write your own prescriptions so why advertise to the users.
It is targeting Democrats to go out and vote democrat.  It is not targeting Democrats to go out and vote Republican like Russia and the NRA did.

The pharmacies have learned that if they advertise, you will go to your doctor and ask for their drugs. When you go to the doctor, they now feel like they have to give something whether you need it or not.
