So. Jan 1, 2019.Whose Running?
« on: January 01, 2019, 06:44:43 pm »
Hi Folks,

Whose running for 2020?

1. Another Angry Old White Man,... Lizzie Warren.

2. Robert Francis Kennedy's son,... Robert Francis O'Rourke.
(As Joe Kennedy would say, Muh bruthuh from a different muthuh.)

Ask not what you can do for your country - ask what your country can do for you.

Who else?

I watched C-Span this morning.

El Chapo will be our next Democrat president.

The count on the Dem side is huge.  If they don't go with someone moderate, they will be in trouble I think.

I'll go back to my original prediction that Trump will not run for a 2nd term.

So we need to consider both sides.
They are so divorced from their own interests that even when their own security and that of their children is finally compromised, they do not seek to avert the danger themselves but cross their arms and wait for the nation as a whole to come to their aid. Yet as utterly as they sacrifice their own free will, they are no fonder of obedience than anyone else. They submit, it is true, to the whims of a clerk, but no sooner is force removed than they are glad to defy the law as a defeated enemy. Thus one finds them ever wavering between servitude and license.

Whoever the Dems nominate will be cut to ribbons before the primaries end.  If Trump does run again, he will also be badly damaged.  That?s the nature of presidential campaigns today, I guess.

First Tuesday in November in 2020, and every 4 years the same.

Ace did you move from NY to FL  to be closer to Trump.  How are you liking down south.  There are a lot of the northern bees that go to Ca wintered between me and the MS gulf coast.

Yes the weather is paradise compared to Utica.  That I do like.  Unfortunately the land has been gobbled up by the carpet baggers from the north east.  It is not much different then living around the big apple and Jersey.  You can see the frustration in the local Floridians driving habits.  They have adopted the Jersey driving style. LOL
It is no secrete that Fl is a retirement state.  The massive migration to FL is going to swing the politics greatly to the left.  This is happening right now with the fight over the red tide problem.  As the problem gets worse the Trumpsters are going to go elsewhere.  They don't need to stay if their environment is not paradise.  The family will probably sell Mar a largo to the Russians if the Saudi's don't already own it to pay for legal representation.
Nancy has got the gavel back and 6 republicans are voting with her and she didn't need their votes.  Trump's shenanigans are over.  "You are free from everything in this country but the consequences of what you do."

Remember this when you all have turned the state blue and you start dealing with the taxes and regulations.

Kathy, have you driven in FL especially around Orlando?  Every major road is a toll road and some don't take cash.  FL is the state of taxes and fees and a hoopala of regulations certifications and more fees.  The republicans have not done much for the state.  Do you think a wall around the state high enough that you couldn't see the ocean would keep the immigrants out?  I don't.  Who would do all the hard work for pittens pay?  They come because we need them and we want them.  Same as every other border.

""Who would do all the hard work for pittens pay?""

Any and every body who got hungry if we didn't give more for welfare than they can make by working. Welfare should be by private citizens, or a minimum to stay alive if given by government. Then you would have plenty of workers without illegal immigrants.

I don't want to keep immigrants out.  I want to keep illegals out.  If we need workers then we can get them legally.  We already have millions of people in the hopper trying to come in legally.  Maybe we should take care of them first?

FL ranks 28th out of 50 for cost of living.  NJ is 41 and NY 49.  My state has a higher cost of living than FL at a ranking of 37th.  So FL may not be the best, but it is certainly not anywhere near the worst.

What our newest moron in congress is requesting.

Oh Joy! Here we go again! ... the writer doesn't seemed to be bothered by history, or facts, or knowledge.

"We can print our own money!" Yay! ... wait ... yeah, that doesn't actually work ... so sorry ...

... and I could go on - for hours.

Thanks for posting that Iddee. Very educational.

Iddee - you should post this under its own topic, so we can tear it apart piece-by-piece. ... imho.
