if you didn't get the honey out of the wax they act like that.  Small flame, crackle and go out

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&safe=off&source=hp&q=beeswax+candle+wick+guide&aq=1l&aqi=g-l2g-jl1&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=e608d4eab052b7c6&biw=1344&bih=705

don't remember which of these pages had the best info.  see if you can find what you need here.  beeswax candles are a little different than others and i had some trouble with them at first.

No crackling doesn't go out but very small flame. This isn't cappings wax but it is honey free.

it takes you to the search on wicks.  somewhere in there i found a couple of good pages on bees wax candle wicks.  i don't have time to comb through them now and i blew up the computer that had the link saved  ;)

We are having that same problem with wicks. Tried #1 square braid in the votive and it went out as you describe. Received #2 square braid (although from another source) today and it actually looks smaller that the previous #1  :(

What did you find that worked and if you don't mind, the source.
