This morning I saw a buck running up a power line being chased by a chiwawa, followed by a hound of some type, about three hundred yards away.
Not gonna take a 300 yard shot at a deer running dead away from me.
Only was there for a split second then it was gone.
Who would've thought a taco dog would be a better deer chaser than a hound!
Iddee, his wife, her sister and I made deer hamburgers and vacuum sealed 18 bags worth from the donated piebald deer this morning.
I also have two bags full of backstrap. When I told my wife about the hamburger meat she only wanted to know if I was bringing home backstrap as well. :-D
My trip is coming to an end folks and I have one more evening to hunt.
I've had a great time meeting Iddee and his family. They have been gracious hosts and treated me like family.
Iddee and I have developed a real kinship cause of this trip. We have been friends through cyberspace and via the phone line but nothing like meeting someone in person.
Big Bear, when Schawee wants a shake, he gets a shake. He got a key to Burger Delight. They even reserve a room for him if he wants to spend the night.
Will holler back soon.
