« on: May 15, 2008, 01:29:19 pm »
tomorrow will be a week since the new nucs were installed, can I take it off when I check on them tomorrow or should I leave it on there longer?

Thanks in advance!

When there is a traffic jam at the entrance increase the opening.

To add to this thought. And I may be all wet. I am leaving at this time about a 2" opening for this reason. As I understand it hive like to be 80 plus Dregees. So by keeping it on it is keeping the hive a little bit warmer. If I see a jam I am opening it up more.

I leave them on until I see a traffic jam.  Of course you have to be checking...
