Flower pollination

I have been thinking about this for a while.  But, just out of curiosity and if anyone has an idea. How soon after a flower has been pollinated is it able to be pollinated again? Or is it that once the flower gets pollinated thats it?

wow i am going way back to 6 grade science on this one but it might not be right, but i think it is just once and that is it. I am thinking of a pumpkin flower, and once it is pollinated there is no need for the flower anymore, and the fruit begins to grow, now flowers could be different but I dont think so, since the reason for flowering is for reproduction, of course I am sure there are exceptions to the rule
