Can anyone help me. I hate this computer stuff. Even though I've followed the instructions at the bottom I can't seem to get any further than this! Why can't I copy a picture?

I know it is something I am doing wrong. Now I've run out of time and have to get to work.

Thanks.

I just checked one last time and found it is a link and no picture until you click the link.

I'll try to attach another one.

I am new at beekeeping and obviously not very good at uploading pictures yet!

I am looking for some of your experienced advise on what my frames look like. This is 2 weeks after installing 4 frames of nuc in to hives and the frame is one of the original nuc frames.
Thank you.

That's an outstanding brood pattern!
The bees would be no help; they would tumble over each other like golden babies and thrum wordlessly on the subjects of queens and sex and pollen-gluey feet. -Palimpsest

Looks like you are getting the hang of the picture thing.

You have a really good queen there.  That is a good frame of brood.  Just what you want to see.  Very few open spaces between the capped cells.

That is a fantastic frame!  Where did you get your nucs from?

That is exceptional for it to be a plastic frame.

AliciaH,

Nucs came from a guy in Port Hope, Ontario through a local beekeeper here.
I don't know if Americans can transfer bees into US from Canada. I know we Canadians can't bring bees from US into Canada as originally I wanted a box of bees this Spring. We can't get boxes here, only nucs as far as I understand.....

Next week I'll check the other hive.

Great news about my happy queen in that hive! At least I'm off to what looks like a good start!!

  Hello,

I'm the local beekeeper from Port Hope (dancing bee apiaries) who sold the nucs in the Ottawa area for distribution.  Those are really great pics. Those were some of the best nucs I sold last season.  The only problem I had was keeping them cool enough because there were so many bees in a confined area.
When you see a whole frame like that with hardly a missing cell........well its what really gets guys like me excited. Hope they do well for you.

ONTARIO BEEKEEPER (Todd),

Yes, I now recognise your name. Lacelle's apiary was where I ordered them through. I was new at beekeeping and didn't really know what I was getting into! Your nucs were strong and got us off to a good start. Now we just have to wait and see if they survive winter. Up until the freezing rain came we could see that the snow had been melting at the entrances and breather holes so that meant heat inside! Now we can't tell anymore.
I hear all orders will be going through a new store in Carleton Place (not open yet) and I am hoping the nucs come from you again.
I started with 2 nucs and am ordering 2 more for this Spring.

Hey! My bees are still alive! We could see melted snow at the top vent hole this weekend and 1 suicidal bee flew out in to the snow while we checked on them. They are covered with 2" rigid styrofoam. No meds no antibiotics, no treatments, nothing unnatural so far. The worst of our winter is usually over by now, but time will tell. It hasn't been cold at all this year. Mainly stayed in the -teens to low -20's Celcius this winter. February is usually warmer than Jan although our January was much like our typical late Feb early March.
Hoping for a successfull suprise this Spring!
