Sounds like bluegrass to me... with an Aussie accent of course...

He has a very expressive voice.  It reminds of of Willie Nelson in many ways.  Someone commented on one of his videos that they would like to here a duet with him and Willie.  I would too.

    Both John and Sarah have very Australian accents in their natural speaking voices Michael. And you are right the banjo backing gives this song a relationship to Bluegrass as I hear it. Will have to wait for Lones call on this !!.
    I like John Williamsons voice but his story telling ability is what gets me.

Yes.  That is another thing in common with country music.  There is actually a story in his songs.  Sometimes a serious one, and sometimes a funny one... :)
