I was checking supers today and nothing appeared out of the ordinary until I pulled a top off of a hive, discovered the frames upside down and some bees looking up at me with frowns on their faces. How did I put a super on that way is beyond me, why did I not feel the handholds missing by touch is another thing that escapes me, turns out the bees glued everything just to get back at me for being stupid.
I suppose there's a first time for everything

How did the frames not fall out as you were putting it on upside down :?

The super was in use last year, so the frames were all drawn out and glued in by the bees, so as I " Gently " added the super to the hive I was probably distracted, eventually they slid down during the week or so. :-\

So this is one you took out of storage and put on. I was thinking you had taken it off during the inspection and some how turned it over the last time you were in the hive.

That is correct :-D If it happens again, then I'll have to start painting ^^ and " This end Up " on them ;)

Did the bees do anything to it? Start filling it or tear it down to make it right?

There was some open nectar/honey on 2 end frames, they did not look too busy in the super, but they sure as hell did a good job propolizing the frames whose top bars were back to back :-x

Can't imagine what you were thinking about when you put that super on but it
sure must have been interesting .

If you invert the honey, does that mean that it is turned back into sucrose?
