Title: A ripe kaki for Mici

 :) I have found a kaki "selected" by the birds. Probably is the sweetest...exquisito...ummmm!

i can almost smell this one, it's that rippen!
about the seasonal fruits,at this momment i have to settle with apples, but in two days time, i'm going to the sea shore region to my cousin and i'll be eating some of those giant sweet marrons!

Yes, it is called Kaki persimmon or 柿   :?, it is native to China. But I have read, see below, there is a variety native to Eastern North America.

My favorite type are what they call here Fuiji, Japanese variety. They are somewhat crisp like an apple. They don't have to be completely ripe to eat, they don't take the moisture out of your mouth like the really soft type which I like as well. Persimmon, I have found is not a fruit that is desirable by all, I happen to love them, but know many who won't touch them. That leaves more for us! :-D
