Title: where wax comes from
Post by: TwT on July 27, 2007, 08:29:27 pm
found a perfect picture of a bee with wax scales under her belly, this is for those that want to know how bee's make wax, it is secreted from the scales (exoskeleton) under their belly

I found this photo here,

I tried to ask drew for permission but could log into there site, didn't think it would bother anyone for a learning tool. I see that he said he pimped the picture so I guest he did get it from someone else, sorry if he got it from you I cant know these things. and wouldn't have known who to ask but him, I shall delete it if you wish but it is a great photo and a great learning tool!!! I always get in trouble ;) , since your here do you have anymore learning pictures like above you could post here, this is a great example to learn from?????

That is an incredible photo. I would like to use it in my presentations with the kids when I am doing my honeybee presentations.

Sincerely,
