Eye candy for your viewing pleasure. In the pic are normal colored dark Italian honey bees with the very yellow pure Cordovan honey bees. The very yellow bees are produced by artificially inseminating Cordovan queen with Cordovan drones resulting in all Cordovan very yellow offspring.
I will be breeding more queens this week.

I love the deep mohagany stripes on the Cordovans. I picked up a swarm a few years ago that had some cordovans. For a recessive trait I was amazed how it permeated a couple of my bee yards.

They are so beautiful! Such cute little blondies!

Thank you both. The Cordovans are striking to me and so gentle. I have 5 Cordovan queens to artificially inseminate Friday. I do become anxious when time to inseminate, so many ways to go wrong.
Blessings

Great pic Van. I haven't seen those Cordovans in my neighborhood so the difference is striking. Mostly Italian mutts or Carniolan mutts around here.

Love em Mr Van!
