Post by: newbee101 on April 22, 2007, 08:52:00 pm
I found a place for 2 new hives, a short drive from my home yard.

Did you get any of those bees from you friend in Brazil?

Nice looking setup there. Congradulations.

Sincerely,
Brendhan

Just curious, why did you choose a site away from you home? I have two remote sites. One is at large commercial tree farm. Lots and lots of flowering trees, especially crape myrtle. The other site is at the headquarters for the American Camelia Society. Lots of flowering camelias and daylillies. Steve

The shipping would have killed me!
They came from Georgia this morning, I picked them up an hour Northeast of home. (Hartford)

I have 6 now in my yard, 5 overwintered and 1 new hive. I also made a Queen bank with an extra Queen I bought with my packages

Good reason for a new site. Looks good, great photos. Steve
