I can't figure out what flower produces this color pollen in Zone 5. Anyone know?

That's interesting. Don't know the answer to that question, sadly. It's a pretty pic though, that's for sure!

This is the closest to a black pollen that I could find:
Joe-Pye weed, Bluestem
It is Bistre Green
