Title: Do bees like lilies?

Out of interest I bought some lilies and wondered if the bees would like them?

Yes, they will. I don't personally know how much nectar or pollen they get out of them, but TrailTwister (Al) might.

:) Honey bees work all the lilies, daylilies, Oriental and Asiatic. they seem to take pollen out of them more than nectar. We planted quite a few day lilies in our new bee garden. Some we picked for our likes color wise, but many because of watching to see what the bees liked at the lily farm we buy from like.
I have a web site where you can visit the daylily farm and order if you wish.

You can visit this post to see some in bloom, get the website addy and phone number.
