How much beekeeping experience would I need before trying a full body bee beard? If I understood the Portuguese narration, the woman was a university student in the video
iddee:
No experience at all if you have a well trained beekeeper setting you up and applying the bees, It's the prepper that needs the experience.
Michael Bush:
There is the logistics of how to pull it off, but as iddee says, that's more a matter of the person who does that. The person with the bees on them just has to be able to not panic and be able to hold the weight of the bees. Bees are heavy. Every package they put on him is about 3 pounds. You need some experience with bees on you and around you before you do this. Panic can get you killed.
BeeMaster2:
I also recommend that you wait until you have been working bees long enough that you no longer swell up from bee stings and don?t over react to stings. Use Benadryl cream and hydrocortisone cream every time you get stung until you no longer have a reaction to stings other than pain at the site. Robo, our it specialist has done this at one of the early Bud meetings. Search the Bud, Bud2 and Bud3 meetings.

Terri Yaki:
Two aspirations in life that are not mine 1) Seeing a bear in the wild (unless I'm hunting it) and 2) To bee covered in a blanket of bees.
