Not a valid machine
« on: January 21, 2010, 10:30:07 pm »
"Not a valid machine" is the error im getting when I am trying to install "InterVideo WinDVD Suite." It came with my Asus motherboard but since it burnt up. I wiped the hard drive because I had a fatal error after messing around with the Vivitar camera software on teh computer. I tried to reinstall the Windvd Suite on my harddrive that is running on a Gigabyte motherboard now and I keep getting the same error. Any ideas?

Many OEM (original equipment manufacturer) disks are designed so that they will only work with the original motherboard.  The installation code checks for a matching motherboard model.
