I have four hives and they are side by side . how much spacing should there bee?

they can touch but its best to seperate a few inches to a few feet depending on much room you have. it helps with drifting

I like enough space to work between them. About 4 feet minimum. That's for my benefit, not the bees. They don't care.

I don't think the bees care, but I have my hives close to 6' apart. I can distrub 1 hive at a time. It's whatever you are comfortable with.
