I love George's Pink Papers. His papers read like what he was- a crusty, wizened beek. I have never heard him speak but I can almost hear his voice in my head sometimes. "Bees WILL NOT draw foundation without a nectar flow, knucklehead!!" :)
He had several qualities I look for in a beekeeper to study under: 1) He was very old and had decades of experience. 2) He was also a scientist (worked on the Manhattan Project) so he based his methods upon careful observation rather than, "This is what my Daddy taught me. I love me some french fried taters. Hmmph. "
Information from people like this is invaluable.
Great link.
