Hello!! I am from rhea county tennessee... I have been around bees for 15yrs and have just recently started my own apiary. I have taken care of 30 plus hives that belonged to someone else and I have become so fascinated with them I had to have my own. I am fortunate to have feral bees. Well what I can only assume to be feral. I was contacted by someone who had purchased some property from a wood producer. There is not a residence within 30 miles in any direction. He had built an outhouse and a swarm had moved in. I did a cut out on the hive and have been splitting them with 60 to 70% return of mated queens so far. I had hoped to ramp up the splits this year but work has had me too busy. Anyway just wanted to say hello and I wish all the beeks a great year!
