Your experience with winter patties?

I've never used these but flow up here has been absolutely terrible because of countless days without sun.  I have six hives and have gone through 200 lbs of sugar so far.  And they are still taking it in!  Going out to Restaurant Depot and buying another 100 lbs today.

With the present situation, I'm thinking it may be a good idea to have some winter patties on hand.  Would like to know your experience with these. Thanks.

I just used Mountains camp and straight fondant until now.

Both worked like a charm. i liked fondant a lot more.
