building is a old-wood frame barn that has concert floor that is getting upgrade with pex tubing
with a new concrete 2 inch overlay for the radiant heat-current hot room has electric heat as well as the warming chambers for buckets and drums-the walls around extractor and uncapper are skinned with sheet-metal for easy wash-down and wipe clean -there is a small six gallon water heater that provides enough
for quick wash downs-nothing fancy here-set of chains (uncapper) over a slinger(cappings spinner) with
a 60 frame reel (extractor) 20 gallon jacket sump -1 1/2 honey pump -with optional canister strainer
into small 40 gallon holding tank-or 55 gal drum- there are two 16 gallon jacketed bottling tanks that also double as wax melting tanks for clean cappings from the spinner lots of hands on with this line
but one person can operate it at about 1000 lbs a day depending on the days honey pull-second story makes plenty storage of jars and other containers and is where i keep queencell incubator and queen supplies -florescent lights through and through-has a primary sub panel -all electric is gfi and a 220 receptacle if needed-like i said it is a work in progress and is always evolving with my needs-RDY-B

Rdy, If we could only pool our resources somehow. I have honey that needs to be extracted and you have a honey house.

I know it's not a win-win situation, but at least it's a win situation! :-D

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907
