Ligustrum

I've seen many bees around our Ligustrums in the lawn.  Who here is familiar with the honey from Ligustrum nectar?

There are different varieties and I'm not being partial because I am in the south but I have read that southern ligustrum is the only variety that makes desirable honey. My bees make a good bit of it.

I was really disappointed in my ligustrom bloom this year. Lack of rain. Browned up the day after blooming. Wasps didn't even get in it.
