A honey thing
« on: June 03, 2017, 09:10:03 pm »
So the honey thing has been really good this last couple years.
We ain't much (and don't want to be) but we get several 5 gallon buckets each year.
Not my point to brag about a few 5 gallon buckets but what I kinda dig is that my Mom who's will be 80 years old in a few months really digs the honey thing.
I gave her a strong 5 gallon bucket and she just digs bottling it.
The first time I gave her a bucket and 3 cases of jars and said " here ya go Mom".
So she was kinda angry at first and then she fell in love with the whole thing.
She even bought smaller jars so she could  gift more out to her family and friends.
She also proudly told me she never lost a drop doing this and just loves doing the process and wants more.
She just now walked away with another bucket and a big ass smile on her face.
Making my Mom happy is priceless.

When you become a sideliner, you can hire your mom to do your bottling.

Democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.

That is so fantastic. It is an addictive hobby that has so many facets. I as many began with 1 hive, unsure as to how the wife would like it. Today we have 14 and she has been doing it all on her own while I've been deployed for 9 mths, selling to her friends she has become very deeply involved lol. Love it.
