Bare root rose
« on: May 16, 2022, 10:43:47 pm »
I have a bare root rose that I potted, it has a cane that is blackened and the leaves on this cane are wilted. I was wondering if this is a disease and what action I should take.

Hi michaelherndon, I do not know directly about bare root roses. I do know if 'a' plant is potted, and too much water is given the roots will drawn, making up the description of what you are describing here. Im not saying this is the answer but I have experienced and learned the hard way with other plants. We have a member here, Florida Gardener which seems to be an expert when it comes to gardening, perhaps she will chime in... There are others here as well which may be able to give you more and better advise. Wishing you the green thumb effect on your plants.
