1 1/2 frames in honey supers??

Has anyone ever tried making 1 1/2 honey frames?
If so how did it work out.
I am thinking of giving it a try just cutting end bars straight from a
2 by 4.
reason they seem to want to build the comb that large already.

Most people just space the 1 3/8" frames further apart after they are drawn, either by eye, or with a tool made for spacing them.
