Title: honey extractors missing
Post by: crispy on January 23, 2020, 02:26:44 am
Hi all well i have been waiting on my extractor from china had a flash sale come up and grabbed it for a pretty good price ,anyway it arrived in sydney on the 17 december so waiting ,waiting as things normally take a while from that part of the world ,So today i thought i would ask aus post if they new any more about it , it left the depot with a driver on the 20 december the depot is 2km from my home here i am sitting here like a nob thinking that it is still in sydney as per tracking advice , so they have launched an investigation but i would say it is probably been sold of by now and i have to start all over again im lucky i would hate to be ready to harvest and have this happen not aust posts fault just maybe the people normally they would leave a card but nothing thankfully it has tracking on it so they can maybe ask some pointy questions but talking to the local postie today have had a lot of trouble with sub contractors thieving gear hmm bit depressed over this .

Porch pirates have become a big problem here in the States. Some people have no honor or kindness in them.
Long ago in school, looked up a girl who I had heard found my calculator. She was sitting there with a dime, methodically scratching my name in permanent ink off the back.
I hope it is just a misdirected/rerouted package, and it will finally arrive.

The porch pirates here in some places are so bad that they follow the dilivery trucks and pick up every package delivered.
One good thing is that a lot of homeowners have cameras watching their front doors and they are getting caught.
Hope you get your extractor back.

Hi guys yea it sort of pee'd me off that some scumbag would do that ,aus post is investigating and hopefully it is sitting in a depot or post shop ,the guy should not have left it without a signature normally they are redirected to a port office and a card is left my case no card and i am pretty sure i was home as it was one of our 47 degree days when i was supposed to go out but it was cancelled at the last moment because of the heat . problem is it was near xmas , i watched a video of some theiving scumbags in N.S.W yesterday ,a local honey producer has a road side honesty shop with product for sale , these two women turn up twice with there kids and just take what they want in a silver commodore vt or vx model toeing a trailer no doubt looting homes with no occcupants after the fires ,these people have had it hard enough without this sort of crap only hope is they might get a rego number and nab these scum ,so far they have taken around 70.00 of produce i really hope they get caught

Hi all well not wanting to just sit and wait i went out this morning to a post shop where the couriers return stuff that hasnt been delivered ,anyway the lady had a look out the back and nothing then she went to there tracking site  tracking is all out of order ie sequence no attempted delivery notice or signature as delivered .Anyway she did give a glimor of hope they have a annex where un delivered larger parcels go to so i have my fingers crossed that it will be there otherwise the courier will have a lot of explaining to do if he keeps his job as all deliveries must be signed for ,my local guy knows me and to save me going to pick it up i have given him authority to sign for me and leave small parcels in a safe place and have never had a problem and if i do well i authorised him to do it so im to blame .You know i dont have much hair and with the way my luck is going if i went in a raffle at the pub i would most likely win a comb have a great weekend .

Way it goes. Once you have a tracking, something will pan out.
Glad you got your worth back.
Maybe in future best to order from good Aussie businesses.

VVell beelab the guy in china did the right thing and got it to australia no problems it vvas the good aussie vvorkers at aust post that ripped it off seeing as it vvas scanned through as a small parcel in sydney, this thing had to be at least 36 inches high by about 24 inches vvide not exactly a small parcel and thats from aust post investigation i hope someone gets burnt for it last thing you need is theives in the mail service , vvasnt the guy in chinas fault he provided complete tracking from vvhen it left his factory in nanjing to nanjing airport to sydney , plus vvhen your on a budget you look for value for money ive only found one aussie seller vvho seems to sell at a reasonable fair price most are over the top for the same item .

Hi all well i bought another extractor from a guy in sydney reputable dealer with a shopfront premises , guess what ? it looks like this one has gone astray through australia post as well in sydney . You just cant make this up within 14 days i have had to raise two investigations on similar items that are coming out of sydney from different suppliers . Thankfully the dealer will offer a full refund if they cannot find it but i have to wonder who is or where are they all going to ? I personnally think australia post need to do some internal investigationns because it seems to me there must be a pack of thieves working in there ,i can understand a small parcel going astray but 2 items to the same person that are around a metre tall and 600 wide ? Aust post dont seem to interested as they have told me to contact the seller ,how did this nuckelhead think i got the tracking number ,yes they sent it to me . You really have to wonder what sort of postal service we have in this country when two items this large can just vanish without a trace ,if i buy another one from anyone i will stipulate i will pay a frieght company to deliver it and cut aust post right out of the equation as they are absolutely useless and fail to do anything to help i have had a gutfullof them grrrrrrrrrrr .

Crispy,
Sorry to hear that this is still happening. You much have a beekeeper working for the post office. The next time you talk to the people in the post office, if you don?t get a proper response, tell them you want to talk to their supervisor. You get much better results this way. Someone up the ladder should care enough to investigate this. You never know, you may be talking to the perpetrator.

Well jim im the first to admit if i am wrong and i have been on this last post but it makes you wonder , after an investigation was set up by the seller and i made enquires about the item no more than 2 hours later i have got an email from australia post saying my spinner will be delivered tommorow .Now im not apologizing to aust post because there handling of this item has been woefull to say the least for not registering it in sydney and only when it was sent to a local central mail centre was i notified of its delivery ,so it has travelled all over australia with no tracking on it what so ever it is a recipe for disaster considering when i buy something from ali express they can send me an email telling me it is on its way from china yet in my own country i am let down by the slack postal service here anyway i admit i was wrong .

Glad to here they found it. Let us know if and when you receive it.
You may end up getting 2 of them. I have had that happen when I had problems like yours. If was cheap enough that they did not want to pay to ship it back. It was the front handle with the on off switch on a craftsman compound miter saw. That was about 10 years ago and I still have the spare.
Good luck.

Hi all well it arrived today and i have it set up ,now i don't know if this is normal but the gears are a bit "hows your father" but i think a shim or stainless washer will get th to mesh a bit better might just be normal but it works just dont gomad and let go of the handle with your arm in the way hahaha , lesson learnt all in all it is a good unit only two fram but that is all i need at the moment and i hope it will last a long time .had a peak inside the gear housing and it has a couple of bearings and the gears in there looks like the top rail is designed to come off for cleaning soas you can get the frame holders out  for what i paid i am happy with it just a few small tweaks and it will be fine .

🤗🤗🤗🤗
Glad you received it.
When you start extracting, do not spin it too fast on the first side. Turn the frames around and spin the second side all the way and then finish the first side. Some frames will blow our if you try to spin the first side too fast because the other side is too heavy.

Thanks for the advice jim i have seen videos where this has happened and to keep replacing foundation would not be cheap ,hopefully in the future i will have a crack at making my own mould to make foundation cant affford one of those fancy rollers , ill give this thing the once over with some good detergent make sure it hasnt got any grease ect on it i did notice where the spinner sits at the bottom there was some type of grease so i wiped it all out and put white grease in it not that any honey will come into contact with it but you never know .

Crispy, I've just read this post and it mirrors mine very closely.
I too bought from a chinese Flash Sale site and paid USD47.00 for a wax press back in November.
Tracking via 17track started several days later with consistent updates on the progress until it arrived in Sydney on the 13th of Dec.
This was followed by weeks of silence. My emails to the vendor fell silent and by Feb, their website was closed down.
Using a little knowledge of IT I found that their URL ending with .top had only been registered a matter of days prior to my "purchase".

What was the URL (domain name) of your purchase ? If "anything.top" then they are best avoided asthe registration costs for those domains are as little as $5 in which case shonky shitebags have little to lose.
In my case I was refunded as the purchase was made through Paypal and their buyer guarantee rescued me.

Regards,
Mark

Dos,
Welcome to Beemaster.
The web has really brought out all of the scam artists. It makes it too easy. Just now I received a warning letter from the Navy Federal Credit Union that my account has been locked and I need to click on the link and put in my Name and password To unlock it. I do not have a account with this bank. Even if I did I would not fall for this crap.
Glad it worked out for you.

This is the main reason I do not want our postal system turned over to private contractors.  Messing with mail is a felony were as messing with a private delivery service is sorry for your luck, business as usual.
