Title: New honeybees.
Post by: Groundhawg on June 08, 2019, 09:43:50 am
Learned at the last bee club meeting that Auburn has been trying to develop new strains of honeybees by cross breeding queens to increase honey production. One of their projects that has shown a lot of promise is the mating of a honeybee queen with a lighting bug. Appears that this new insect will be able to double honey production by being able light up flowers after dark they can work day and night ? 24/7.

They also had good luck with the honey bee/ praying mantis hybrid. You got honey that had already been blessed, also known as "Holy Honey".... but the honey bee/dung beetle honey was just crappy.
