Bees arrive in 2 weeks
« on: May 04, 2016, 03:56:29 pm »
I live in Michigan and I plan to start two hives from two packages. I have a friend who I am modeling after, other than that my education comes from this forum and reading books. I'm planting a bee friendly garden but I had to start from seeds in my home cuz it's so cold. I have entrance feeders that I plan to keep topped off but I'm wondering if I need pollen packs. My friend hasn't used them last year. Only one book I have read said I should. What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Art

If there's stuff blooming in your area you shouldn't need pollen pattys.
