Long langstroth #3. This time I...
1. Used 2x12 boards, cut to deep prime depth. The 1 1/2 boards sure make thick walls.
2. Covered the hive with a single piece of plywood light enough to easily move. A migratory top.
3. Used double sided foil bubble wrap insulation as inner covers. Four pieces cover the frames under the migratory lid, and each moved when i want to uncover that part of the hive.
4. Canvas duck cloth, which I wanted to use, was very hard to find and too expensive to ship.
5. The follow board is plywood.
6. I put in mason jar beetle traps under each corner, under the hardware cloth. They just screw up under the bottom board and I put in and inch or so of mineral oil in them.
7. It is now populated with a caught swarm.

Nice job Bob.
Any chance getting you to put the dimensions/plans here on this thread?
