Title: FACEBOOK MEMBERS over 455 and growing
Post by: beemaster on July 11, 2011, 10:25:28 pm
Ok, I admit I was slow on the Facebook bandwagon, and still enjoy keeping my friends list limited to those I've been fortunate to meet or have known a long time in the forum - but as I learn the interfacing with other programs and websites (much like RSS FEEDS) I see advantages that make it a useful tool.

I wanted to throw out a invitation to those of you who are Facebookers and haven't joined to please come in and broaden our community. Having an additional outlet, one that does interact with so many other services that members may enjoy is nice and I'm learning that and hope others who have shied away sign up to our Beemaster's International Beekeeping Forum Facebook Page.

One FLAW in f1 is that a Youtube link takes you to the users main page not the video that you are pointing to - at least that is my experience. But copy/paste in the description box can detail that. Hope my links above work okay.

Of course if you do, don't be a stranger here, I hope this is a home away from home for many of you.

PS - I know I mentioned this either on Facebook or here, or both - but a seriously cool app for Firefox called f1 is available, it resides in the address bar when you are at a cool web page you'd like to share you can just click the "f1" too the right of the address bar (where you type website addies) and a box comes up which you can program to post a link and a message you type to sites like FB and Twitter, etc. It is a great time saver and often adds the sites own description of what it is about. Cool app.
