My moment of fame and it is thrilling
« on: June 30, 2009, 07:47:13 pm »

Well I finally got my hand creams and lip balms into a store in downtown Placerville that I just love. They took a chance on me and this has been just thrilling for me. See below the beautiful clothing store and adorable display at the front counter.

Such a cute display sitting amongst the jewelry and books.

Just loving every minute of this
Annette

OH thanks dear people.  I gave the owners a few samples a while back and they were interested in selling my products, but I wasn't feeling ready to take the leap.  a couple of weeks ago I walked into the store to shop (I do shop there and just love their clothing - and by the way that is where I purchased my blouse on my avitar) and the store owner said "So, what about the hand creams"? I said ok and they placed the order right then and there. Now where it will lead, well I don't know, but if I could have a bit of a run there for a few months that would be good.

Thanks for sharing in my excitment.

You just gave me a heart attack you little brat (as Cindi would say).   :buttkick:

Maybe I should just marry him and then it could be Burts and Annette's Bees

Seriously though, thanks!!!

Not really top of the hill, more top of the street. How do you know so much about my town??

Thanks Kathy, I hope it works out.

i am from your neighborhood.  at least as much as i am from anywhere.  i always liked placerville.  somewhere not so far is a cornish pasty place and coffee roaster.

Annette, I am so proud of you! Your products are just wonderful. My wife and I have been using them and just love them, of course I want to eat them cause they taste and smell so good, but you said not to, so I won't eat them, but want to!

I'm glad you went with the bee, that is our favorite. Congratulations Annette!

No coffee roaster, that is long gone.  I don't remember ever seeing a cornish pastry shop. When you return here one day, I will take you around the neighborhood.

Jp

Thanks so much and glad you are enjoying the products.  People here must be wondering how you ended up with my products.  No selling going on here, just that JP was a tremendous help to me in catching my swarm and other advice and I wanted to pay him back for the help so sent him a little gift for his wife.

Thanks again for that Annette, we love your products! Even if I can't eat them, they're still very good.

that would be fun!

guess the pasty place is in grass valley, which means the coffee place i'm thinking of is probably there also.

I just love Grass Valley and Nevada City Area.  So much fun there, so many adorable shops and restaurants.

But so freakin hot right now just need to stay inside.

Take care

Those are really pretty containers, Annette. I love your label! Cute little bee girl :)

I've been sort of working on a similar project, but I can't get myself out selling stuff. It's not my style.

I started by just giving out samples to all the store owners I liked and told them they were gifts. When they asked further questions about them, I told them I am selling them also.

Selling is not my style either, but I try to get into the mode of just sharing my products with people, not especially selling them. In just sharing them, it has blossomed into a small business.  Somehow it just continues along.

The presentation is very important I have found out as most people are very attracted to the design.  I actually have 2 different designs I use and some people like one more than the other.  Right now I am more into the little bee.

Let me know how your products do,  and what you are making.
