And don't flame me on this. I do not defend or believe in the ideas of Nazism, but the german engineers of that time sure made some fabulous aircraft.
Interesting fact about the Jersey Devil (I'm at the very top of the Pinelands here) but the fact is my Mother and father were BOTH the 13th and last child in their Family - I remember hearing somewhere in the folk-lore that the 13th child of the 13th child bore the mark of the Jersey Devil. I do have his little Batman like birthmark on my left wrist hidden by my watch
True story!
I got lucky on this forum that my first name hadn't been taken. What a deal. On most other forums I use Office Goddess. Kind of self-explanitory. I work as an office manager. I am the Goddess of the office.
HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR MEMBER NAME?Umm...I just kinda woke up with the idea one morning!!!!
My name is MrILoveTheAnts because that's the name I use almost everywhere. Along with bee keeping I also keep colonies of ants. Sure they don't produce honey but at least they don't sting... mostly.WE have another member who loves ants, 'nepenthes'. I don't know if he's posting right now, there was just a fire in his house and I think he lost all of his pets. :(
I'm also on another forum about ants on EzBoard (which might be Yuku now or something since they got bought out).
I own two love seats instead of a sofa.

I got the name 'brit.thebee' because my name is brit and clearly I'm a bee. I mean just look at my picture.

When I first saw your username, I thought you were a Brit (British) :)
No, you gotta think Brit like Britney Spears, only with underwear.
no- probably not for awhile yet, my dad's health is pretty poor, we are providing home hospice care for him. That and my job and son take up most of my time. I have been reading and hearing all kinds of sad bee loss stories. I really wonder if it is just one of nature's cycles or the fault of man kind. I tend to think it is the later. Anyhoo, it is good to be back, I missed ya all.I'm sorry to hear your dad is doing poorly. Dads are so important, I miss mine terribly. We had hospice come in when his care became too much for my mother, they were wonderful. I hope he is resting comfortably.
heh heh heh,....

I wish I was going but I really cant. I'd like to just see you speak about anything!...At the end,(Well, aside from politics and the space program...and raising teenagers) I would like to shake your hand and tell you what a pleasure it has been!
Dont forget to take some pictures!!
Ok,....gotta go....I got up early on my vacation day to go to church..I havent been since Christmas...I feel I need to give up one hour to go to mass as its "Good Friday". My wife thinks its a good idea too...I dont know why.....I've never mentioned it, but janelles an atheist..She wasnt when we got married though. My name is actually the name of a girl in one of my favorite book series.
I'm a country girl at heart. I love animals and am not crazy for the city, I like the open air. I like western books, movies, you name it. I'm into cowboy hats, boots, and my favorite animals include horses (and bees, of course). About 2 or 3 years ago I was volunteering in my church library for a while, so I read quite a few books during that time. I read a great Christian western book series (my favorite), and liked it so much that ever since then all my usernames have been Miss Pepper, one of the main characters in the series.
It was easy, and I was lucky:
My sweetie has always called me superhoney :-*
And it fits really well on a beekeeping site I thought
I was totally amazed that it was available too! It was just meant to bee. <----look look my first bee riff!
tah-dah!
Superhoney
JP,
"Ms Superhoney" is a male!!!!
Oops!!
It's a bit dull. I am a baker, and use this handle when I can, where I can.
Must be a pretty old pigeon what's that a ninty year old bird? ;)
Cindi,.....
have you been into the valiums again? 8-)
heh heh....
your friend,

I use to have an antique store in Gold Beach and the name was.....you guessed it Gold Dust Twins. I actually collect Gold Dust Twins soap memorabilia.
:fishhit: I guess Monty Python isn't very big in the USA .There are plenty of Python fans here!
Well, my name is Charles Fry. My middle initial is C. so I chose the name "charlescfry" for this forum. Obviously I am not in the Witness Protection Program! ha ha.

It's my name. Hi folks I'm new and I'm not sure how to navigate this web site. I'm a new beekeeper April 19th to be exact. I thought I was told that normally new packaged bees don't swarm the first year. Well, I believe both my hives swarmed today. I've got more to ask but I'll see if I get any replies to this post. Thanks for any help. PS I managed to "catch" the bees and get them out of the rain.
I used to sell neodymium magnets on ebay eight years ago and used the name magnet-man. I just kept on using it because it was unique.
Qabloona was a no-brainer . Inuiit/Eskimo for fat hairy white guy. When I lived on Hudson Bay I was that guy :)
I used to live in Eagle River, Alaska. Hence the name E r ak.
I love reading all these! So interesting....
I had lara which is my first name and used to be my area code. I'm definitely going top keep bees, my brother was a bee charmer when I was younger. You could walk right up to him and he would say he had a bee in his pocket and prove it by showing you. The bees just flew away and he was never stung, I tried over and over and got an allergic reaction for my troubles. LOL. I am still enamored with them. I'd really like to make a space in my life for bees, a "Bee Haven," hence the name ;)

My wife take in unwanted parrots and find them homes.
Most of the didn't leave.
And I think the cockatoo is the cleverest of all the parrots and most certainly the most social.
Well seeing the bees are so generous to us all I thought it was a fitting name :)
Dana ( a guy ) from North Carolina
Glad to be here; just getting back into it after a 10 year break; looking foward to all the fun again; new pests to deal with; but those little girls need our help as they do so much for us...
I use my son's baby name. He is a splendid young man now, and it serves to remind me of many things.
The Bee Sarmer was an easy pick for me. My oldest son (now 15) loved the Little People farm set when he was young. The person that took care of the animals and crops was the "sarmer". We corrected his "mistake" and told him it was a FFFFarmer. He said, "I know. I just like sarmer better."
When I took an interest in bees, and started joining forums, I became The Bee Sarmer to honor the boy he was and the man he is becoming.
i chose this name because we always call our daughter this. I'm a new keeper for the most part..please tell me the learning curve is steep for other people than myself :) i've made a few mistakes....and wonder if God is trying to tell me something!!!!
I am a direct descendant of investors in the 2nd Charter of Virginia in 1609. These men ended up coming to Jamestown and moving to the Eastern Shore of Virginia before the first indian massacre of 1622. Eleven generations later, my family still lives on the Shore. I started a company several years ago under the name 2nd Charter Investments to cover all my extra-professional endeavors. The name is an homage to those ancestors that were also entrepreneurs and dreamed big.
On most forums that I belong to I go by this handle, Pillpeddler. It does draw some unwanted attention particularly on Xbox Live... I'm a licensed pharmacist by trade. Amazingly only 1 person has connected the dots on the name and it almost keep me from being allowed on a forum one time... Pillpeddler... Eastern Ky... maybe I should have thought it out more... Nah, out of character to think. ;-)Naw...I put the dots togather real quick-like. I didn't figure anybody is moronic enough to advertise illegal and live-destroying activity, so that left the only legal pill peddling occupation. And anybody cool enough to like bees wouldn't be a illegal drug-dealer.
Mine was easy. We've since replaced the old white boxes and are two deep cow now.

I was just looking at who was online with me at 4:30am est and it hit me that some member names are pretty obious, but others are interesting cryptic or just carry-overs from preferred chatroom names (I imagine) but I'm curious - why do you have the name you have here in the forums?
I've used Beemaster in one form or another for many years in chatrooms (the only one I really hung (hanged) out in was Yahoo Computer Lobby One - where I was beemasterdotcom since Beemaster was already taken.
I sheepishly tell you my first ever chat name (Beth knows this) it was Throbber (short for HEART THROB - I swear - lol) and that didn't last long, I had a young fellow "Borrow" that name and I got spammed a ton of email, etc.. So Throbber didn't last long.
So any way.... Just curious, why do you call yourself what you do here :)

Good topic, I always wonder about how people came up with thier names. I use the same name for all my forms I frequent. Lechwe is an African antelope that is very unique and just plain interesting to me. Have always been fond of them. Not many people seem to know what it is and that adds a little to the allure.Just my first name. Easy to remember:)
K9 I thought the same thing. Wonder what "breed" of bee he has.
Hey Hardwood...look where NeiltheCop's from.
Bring on the aliens!!!!
Welcome Neil. I'm a LEO too.

I raise Nubian goats and someone on another forum called me Goat Lady once and I liked it!
So where at in Georgia besides Hopelessly Lost are you located. Nice to see Georgia people around.
Using my Title from the Navy. :) :)
I tried to get Beemaster but that one was already taken. :roll:Now that is funny :lau:
Hi all, new to beekeeping only got our hive 1 week ago. Veyr excited to part of the bee fraternity.
cheers for now from down under.
My mum picked it.
My mum picked it.
funny mine too
Well when I was a teenage I worked in a state park and the park ranges thought I looked shiftless. So they nicknamed me shiftless. In the military it was shortened to shifty, then to shift, not finally it is just plain ole shif. Soon I guess it will be what my wife is always saying to me. shhhhhhhhhhh!
My neighbor is a vet and one day asked me if I wanted an injured crow that someone had shot. Silly me I said "yes". This began a five year corvid care experience that I will never forget. Turned out he was a she. Healed with time and was courted by a male crow. One day she flew off with him.
Crows and Ravens are some of my favorite birds.
Ravenwing
I chose willhuntcm long ago because I like deer hunting and other types of hunting!!

I call myself Sacred Venom in the reference to the sacred and medicinal venom in our friends that bring us all together here on this forum.
My name is what my job was while on active duty. Kind of unique, usually available.
I didn't really get fancy, just used my last name. I am a second-year beekeeper and fairly new so am willing to listen to anyone. I had two hives last year and lost one to wax moths and the second made it halfway through the winter so will be starting over this spring. I live in Northern Illinois so the weather is rather brutal. Was not fully prepared last year but intend to get it together this year. My main goal is to get them through the tough winter here!
Excuse the ? marks. Tapatalk is evidently converting apostrophes and quotation marks to ? For some reasonDon?t worry about the ? marks. This system replaces quotes and apostrophes with ?. Not sure why.

My member name is my name, which is Tina McGee. Soon the Winter will come to an end and Spring will arrive. With the arrival of Spring starts the beginning of the honeybee season, which I am looking forward to.
Thank you,

This is my first post after joining this morning. My member name is a carry over from my sailor days serving in the U.S. Navy. I was the last Master Chief Photographer's Mate ever selected before the rating was disestablished.
I chose my username because it is my real name and I can remember that. Lots of other things I forget. That simple.Welcome to Beemaster, Jeffrey!
habit mostly ... used "animal" online for many years and it was one of my nicknames IRL.. "bear" was another one, but I figured that wouldn't be very popular here.
