Title: Top of the Lake
Post by: Dallasbeek on August 31, 2015, 06:14:01 pm
We've been watching a BBC series called Top of the Lake, which is set in New Zealand.  Mildly interesting show about a police detective in Sydney, Australia, who comes home to be with her dying mother and encounters a situation involving a pregnant 12-year-old, whose family seems like they'd fit right in in Appalachia.  Are there reallly rednecks in New Zealand?

"Redneck: the glorious absence of sophistication" -Jeff Foxworthy

Rednecks are everywhere.  You can take every one of Jeff's redneck jokes and start with "you might live on the rez if..."  They work just as well.
