Title: Great loss to the beekeeping world

Apparently George Imirie died on Sept 6, but it was reported in the Washington Post just the other day.  Sad loss for the beekeeping world.

Linda, how distressing.  One of my very first internet experiences in my quest for knowledge of the bees over two years ago now, was some site that I found.  They were called "George's Pink Pages".  I still have a hard copy of it that I had printed out.  He designed the Imrie Shim, I know that now too.  I think the world will be at a loss of this fellow.  Wonder why it took so long to have it out in the newspaper.  Wonder if any other of our forum friends heard of this before your post.  Have a great day, beauty of a life.   Cindi

I read his pink pages. Always very interesting. I knew that he had health problems and I was curious about him. I know he rest in peace now.

Good moment to re-read his writtens.
