American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

Yup, sad day for me too. Gamecocks lost, Bama lost. Wheres a kleenex when you need one? Now its going to come down to LSU vs. Georgia (more than likely) for the SEC Championship. My Gamecocks still have a chance, but their biggest playmakers are out on the injured list. Come on Blakeney, dont tell me that your on the Orange bandwagon? Who did they manage to beat? MTSU? :)

Wow, who could have predicted such a low scoring defensive game?  Not, me!  I guess I better stick to politics :-D

I would have preferred to watch a shootout myself, but I guess these two teams really are pretty well balanced.   I saw a lot of Les Mile’s old boss in his constant “run up the middle” play calling.  I thought he was being too conservative, but in the end, he won again.

Congrats to both sides.  Two great teams.

wow, what a game. i knew it would be relatively low scoring, but that was ridiculous. both teams have very stingy defenses. alabama made very few mistakes, but when you play a good team they will capitalize on those mistakes. i have to wonder why saban wanted to try 3 @50 yard field goals when it was obviously beyond their range, imo i think they should have punted and kept them pinned deep. anyway congrats to lsu and their fans. too bad this couldn't have been for the title.

I agree. No disrespect to Boise fans, well maybe a little, but they always are in the Top 10 in the standings and really dont deserve to be. Their schedule isnt no where near as tough as others so it really isnt that hard going undefeated year after year. Sure they won over Georgia, but one ame in the SEC isnt proof positive of their skill. The SEC is their own worst enemy-after a full season of play, they have beaten each other to death, basically just survuval of the fittest. Yup, I AM biased. Here in the south, its Church of God, Baptists, Catholics and SEC football :)

what you say about their schedule  is true, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are no good, they are a good team this year, but were much better two years ago but i would still say they are at least as good as half of the top ten teams right now.

Yup, Theres no better color than Tennessee Orange baby!!!!!!
They ain't played worth a crap in years but I still love them.  You can't beat the feeling of walking in Neyland Stadium.  Hopefully they will come outta this slump they've been in and start playing some SEC ball again.

I was just extremely happy that Bama lost b/c our superior at work is from Bama and all I/we here every day, all year long, is how Bama is so awesome, nobody can beat us, 16 National Championships, blah blah, blah.  Over and over and over.  Come Monday all was quiet

Yeah, Im not taking anything away from them talent wise-I just get tired of hearing about them and watching the highlights every weekend. I'm biased I Know.

Lol, should have heard the crickets when SC finally beat UT at home this year. Co workers were all silent. Given a few more years to build, I think UT will eventually be back on top. I like Dooley-I think he's a real class act. He was left with a pile of poo to sort out thanks to Kiffin and people are expecting miracles out of him NOW. He had precious little scholarship recruiting power and its going to take a while to straighten things back out. I'll never wear orange though. Schoo weee. Ive been to Neyland a couple of times before, but it was to watch the Gamecocks play.

yeah, pretty sure that the Dawgs will be your SEC East winners. I'm glad for Richt though-at the beginning of the year, he was taking some pretty serious flak.

Well the Gamecocks pulled off a win against the Gators to start my Saturday off on the right foot. Now, I just need Auburn and Cheatin Chizak to win out over Georgia.

I hear the Vols set a new school record for losing in the SEC.  They're not 0 and 6!  Hard to believe the school with the 2nd biggest stadium in the country has fallen so far.  How do you fix this train wreck?  I hear Rich Rod wants to get back into coaching at some point :-D

It's pitiful, I know.  I'm not for sure if anyone knows how to fix it.  Only time will tell.

Wait a minute!!!  Are we talking about Tennessee or the federal government????

Maybe the two entities have a similar reason for the problems....start at the top and come down.  Of course if you compare the two then Tennessee really doesn't look as bad as it actually is.

UT will eventually come back. They lost so much in the way of scholarships when they canned Fulmer and then the other moron, Kiffin that came and left didnt help things much. Dooley has very little to work with now, but I think he will eventually turn the program around. I still refuse to wear orange when he does though. Or UT may turn into the new Kentucky.
