Ocean floor - what is it?

Off the coast of ireland on the ocean floor a giant grid larger than ireland.  Just a google maps thing or what?

Looks like a corn field in the winter to me.  Maybe it is Charlie the Tuna's garden.

If you use the google zoom bar - you can drill in for a closer look.  The ridges appear to be about 8 to 10 miles apart.  (A bit more than a corn field.)
