Small cell, up in the super
« on: June 21, 2007, 10:27:02 pm »
I'm sold on the idea of using mediums throughout my hives, I like the idea that all of the equipment is the same.

I want to transition to small cell, in the brood chamber.
Is there a reason why I wouldn't want to use small cell foundation in the supers also?

My thought is to continue to keep everything the same.

You can use the same thing in the supers, it won't hurt anything. Plus, you'll have drawn comb that can be used anywhere in your hive.

Harder to extract,  but I'm not sure that alone would be the deciding factor.

They tend to draw it better in the brood nest, but I would use it everywhere.
