G'day Clint,
What you ask is not complicated at all in simply moving them to a new home.
A box is provided and sat maybe 70 to 150mm in front of the Parent. The two joined
by a 19mm (ID) black poly tube, insulated if in full sun. The new home has a lump
of propolis and beeswax moulded into the 25mm entrance, a 6mm hole penetrating
into the box.
In CQ at this time of year they'll move over anywhere from 6 to 10weeks.
From there the Parent could be safely dismantled come May.
Tim Heard runs the Sugarbag site I link to, he covers a lot more for the enthusiast.
The new Home?
Avoid reinventing the wheel, a functional easy to build - from untreated 4?2 timber -
design is linked to, my personal choice is to use the L?W measurements (detailed)
as internal not external;
