Title: Hi, from Adelaide, Australia
Post by: AyeBee on January 15, 2014, 08:30:33 pm
Just checking in to say Hi.

A little about me, I recently attended a beekeeping course, bought and assembled all my hive hardware, and now just waiting for my bee's. While I'm waiting for the paint on my hives to dry, thought I'd finally get around to registering on the forum  :)

For the Adelaide locals, I'm out on the plains near Gawler and Roseworthy.

It will be nice to hear what you have to say about keeping bees down under.

Hi, I am also from Adelaide, but from the south, Chandlers Hill. I am also new to beekeeping and currently have 4 hives on a proerty just over 3 acres. Bees are not doing so well as there is not much flowering in the area apart from garden roses and vegies. I plan on developing the 3 acres with plenty of nectar supplying plants to support the bees. Long term plan is for a small bee farm venture even if it is only enough to be a self supporting hobby.
