Pollen trap
« on: May 27, 2018, 08:56:44 pm »
Hi,

I would like to try a pollen trap this year to help with queen rearing.  Wondering what is suggested for a pollen trap that you have tried?   There are a few out there on the usual bee supplier sites.  Bottom, top, front entrance traps.  What is a good one I can try to get my feet wet, so to speak.

Thanks
Tazz

Opinions vary, but mine is the Sundance top trap.

If you run top entrances it's hard to beat a top pollen trap.  The pollen is cleaner and the trap is simpler.  The Sundance II is hard to beat.
