Title: New silicone molds have residue
Post by: rayb on November 09, 2011, 09:54:30 pm
Our new silicone molds (10 " tapers) have a residue inside after about 10 pourings. The surface quality is not as nice as when they were new.

1. Do they need periodical cleaning?  With what?

2. Does old, darker brood area wax (but clean) mold any different from nice light cappings wax?

Thanks, Ray

Put the molds in the freezer for an hour and they will be easier to clean.
