Last year I harvested about 15 pounds of honey from my Warre hive. I harvested the top (4th) box too soon ( a mix of impatience and ignorance) as it hadn't been fully capped, but it was delicious none the less.
The hive now has a total of three boxes, which I think are brood chamber, and two of honey storage, which is my dilemma. After reading extensively it seems that you should have one brood box, one winter honey storage and anything else that is capped is for harvesting. On inspecting the third box I found it full of capped honey, so my question is, do I take the third box off and replace it with an empty box, or just leave well alone?
