A day of Native beekeeping
« on: October 06, 2017, 03:45:37 am »
Hello everyone it's been awhile since I've made a post so I thought it'd be good to finally make one.

I'll be putting up some pictures of some of the things I do during my work as a native beekeeper and hopefully peek some people's interest, the first picture is baiting a fighting swarm while the last 3 pictures are all part of a hive rescue where an old tree was falling apart, I ended up rehoming the wild bees but there was far too money honey stores for the transfer so I ended up straining the leftover honey into some jars, the hive must have been very old as it had far more honey stores then you'd expect from a native bee colony and was some of the best honey I've ever eaten.
